    Relationships Exhibition Open: Monday to Friday: 9am to 1pm & Saturday: 10am to 1pm SSJG Heritage Centre, 9 Barker Street, Broome The Relationships Exhibition is located within the Old Convent on Barker Street. Run by the Sisters of St. John of God, the exhibition uses storyboards, artifacts, photographs and audio-visual media to give visitors an insight into the relationships formed by the Sisters with the people of the Kimberley. There is also availability to access almost 40,000 photographs on a public database. Visitors interact with volunteers, many of whom are part of this story.

    Nguyuru Waaringarrem Halls Creek Music Festival Saturday 19 May 2012 1pm-9pm Shire Park Halls Creek The Nguyuru Waaringarrem Halls Creek Music Festival will be held on Saturday 19 May 2012 from 1pm-9pm at the Shire Park in Halls Creek. In addition to a full line up of amazing bands, solo performers and dancers, there will be workshops, market stalls selling local art and other products and plenty of food and water, soft drinks and juice available for purchase. As a special treat famous Indigenous chef Mark Olive will be providing two workshops in eating healthy using bush tucker. Entry to the festival is free. Halls Creek has a huge diversity of people from three different indigenous groups and others from all walks of life. Nguyuru Waaringarrem means all together as a big mob which is the philosophy of the Halls Creek Music Festival. The 2012 music festival on Saturday 19 May will be a great chance to bring everyone together and celebrate our unity and all that is great about our town and our community.

A concert program of virtuosity celebrating the sheer wonder of the Australian landscape and soul. Richard Tognetti, Artistic Director and Lead Violinist of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, is joined by a stellar cast to present a virtuosic program of classical and contemporary music. A soaring world class orchestra, earthy didgeridoo and vocals with evocative land and sea filmed projection combine to create a spellbinding event. The Reef Tour is a rare opportunity to see the nation’s leading violinist with members of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and ACO2 in collaboration with Indigenous artists Mark Atkins and Steve Pigram.
