Richard Tognetti, Artistic Director and Lead Violinist of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, is joined by a stellar cast to present a virtuosic program of classical and contemporary music.
A soaring world class orchestra, earthy didgeridoo and vocals with evocative land and sea filmed projection combine to create a spellbinding event.
The Reef Tour is a rare opportunity to see the nation’s leading violinist with members of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and ACO2 in collaboration with Indigenous artists Mark Atkins and Steve Pigram.
The Reef is a new multi media performance inspired by the rugged surf and tough desert landscape of the Ningaloo Coast. With music by Iain Grandage, original film and imagery created by Jon Frank and Mick Sowry showcasing surfing legend Derek Hynd, The Reef is a not to be missed cultural highlight for regional Australia.
You’ll hear great works from the classical and contemporary repertoire including George Crumb’s Black Angels alongside the inspiring songs of Broome icon Steve Pigram.
Travelling from Darwin to Perth and then Sydney through the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and Mid West Regions.
