Tourism Council WA holds state tourism awards every year to recognise the very best tourism based product, operators and individual contribution to industry.  Each year, many operators from the North West region are recognised as leaders in their field.

Regional Tourism Awards

In May 2010 members of Australia’s North West Tourism (ANW) gathered in Fitzroy Crossing to celebrate the biennial ANW Tourism Awards. The evening was a chance to celebrate excellence in the tourism industry in the North West. 

The staff at Fitzroy River Lodge ensured a great evening was had by all, and local band Fitzroy Express kept the crowd entertained on the new deck area at the Lodge.  MC for the evening was well known Australian personality Ernie Dingo, a regular visitor to the region and a great ambassador for tourism in the North West.
