Clean Up the Kimberley Weekend
Clean Up the Kimberley Weekend is the flagship event of the Clean Up the Kimberley Campaign, a long term strategy to ensure the Kimberley Region retains it's reputation as one of the worlds most desirable tourist destinations
The Clean Up the Kimberley Campaign is an initiative by Clean Up Australia Ltd. to preserve the environmental and cultural integrity of one of Australia’s greatest outback tourism icons – The Kimberley Region. The campaign consists of a series of community engagement and education programs with its flagship event “Clean Up the Kimberley Weekend” attracting thousands of volunteers and removing many tonnes of rubbish every year.
Clean Up the Kimberley Weekend 2007 was held on October 28 & 29 with Clean Up the Kimberley Schools Day on Friday October 27. Thousands of proud volunteers across the region lent a hand to clean up.
