Kimberley Panorama with lunch at Drysdale River Station - Tour APDDryThe only way to see the remote northern coastline of Western Australia is by air. Our route to the northern Kimberley and the Mitchell Plateau takes you over tidal mud flats, mangrove systems, waterfalls and deep gorges. Spot crocodiles, manta rays, dugong and other sea creatures.
Our flight path takes in the Ord River Irrigation Area, Lower Ord River, Carlton Hill and Ivanhoe Stations, Wyndham, Cambridge Gulf and Adolphus Island before reaching the coast. We then take you over the Berkeley River Gorge, King George Falls, Kalumburu Aboriginal Community and Crystal Head.

Mitchell Falls Cultural Experience, Plane/Four Wheel Drive Combo - Tour HCOA one day, one night tour to the Mitchell Falls and the fascinating Mitchell Plateau.
This tour departs from Kununurra by light aircraft after an early morning pickup from your accommodation. Arriving at the Mitchell Plateau airstrip, we are met by our guide and taken to the Ungolan Safari Camp for breakfast.
Depart from Ungolan by four wheel drive vehicle to the Mitchell Falls, where you will take a guided tour of not only the falls, but also the many Aboriginal art sites that are located within the area. After lunch at the Falls and a refreshing swim, you will then have the opportunity to either walking out of the falls or taking one of the spectacular helicopter flights that are available.
Overnight accommodation is at the Ungolan Safari Camp adjacent to the Kandiwal Aboriginal Community. The following morning, you will embark on an 8am flight to Kununurra, arriving at approximately 9:30am.

Kimberley Coastal Adventure Flight and Home Valley Ground Tour - Tour KFrom Kununurra we fly over the Ord Irrigation Area and follow the Ord River downstream, croc-spotting. We pass by House Roof Hill, the location site of the Faraway Downs homestead used in the film 'Australia'.
We then track north to the 'Needles', which are unusual rock formations at Cape Domett and fly over the incredible mangrove colonies of the Ord river 'false mouths'. At Cape Domett view the beach where thousands of north Kimberley Flatback turtles are born.
We then cross the Cambridge Gulf over Lacrosse Island and follow the edge of the Timor Sea to the mighty King George River.
We fly from the sea up the 12 kilometres gorge to orbit the King George Falls, and then track back to the east and the Berkley River, following one pristine waterhole after another inland.
View Oombulgurri Community on the Forrest River and the winding path of the Durack River before landing at Home Valley Station for an 'HV8' Station Tour. The ground tour includes some locations from the film Australia and gives you an overview of the Station and its Tourism, Cattle and Training facilities.

Mitchell Falls Explorer - Plane/Heli/Walk Combo - Tour HThis tour is for the adventurer wanting to explore the remote Mitchell Plateau! Departing Kununurra in the early morning we fly over Emma Gorge and El Questro, past the Cockburn Range, Home Valley Station and over Drysdale River National Park before landing at the Mitchell Plateau Airstrip.
Connect with a helicopter for a flight over the spectacular Mitchell Falls before we land there to drop you off. At the Falls, you will spend almost two hours on the ground on your own where you can take a self-guided walk (refer conditions below), swim and enjoy a prepacked snack.
You will have plenty of time to photograph the spectacular surroundings, before being picked up by a helicopter and returned to the Mitchell Plateau airstrip.
Reboard the aeroplane to follow the north Kimberley coast for views of Port Warrender, Kalumburu, King George Falls, Berkeley River Gorge, Cambridge Gulf and Adolphus Island. Follow the Ord River upstream and overfly the farms of the Ord Irrigation area before landing in Kununurra.

Booking Conditions - Scenic Day Tours
Minimum number of two passengers required on most tours.
Flight departure is subject to availability and appropriate weather conditions.
Tours are conducted with English speaking guides. For selected tours, fact sheets are available in German, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese and English.
Due to the extensive organisation involved in aerial tours, a strict cancellation policy does apply. 24 hours notice – non refundable. 25 hours to seven days – 20 per cent fee will be charged or deposit waived. Eight to 30 days 10 per cent fee charged. Over 31 days a full refund will be issued. We recommend that Travel Insurance be taken out to cover the above.
Please be advised that no luggage can be carried with you as part of your scenic tour. El Questro is able to transfer your luggage either to or from their premises and there is a charge for this. Please contact El Questro Reservations to make arrangements (08) 9169 1777.
Tour H - Mitchell Falls Plane/Heli/Walk Combo - extract from Australian Standard AS 2156.1-2001 - Walk Trails, Class 6. General description: opportunity for highly experienced walkers to explore remote and challenging natural areas without reliance on managed tracks. Key track characteristics: no modification of the natural environment. May include steep sections of unmodified surfaces. Facilities generally not provided. Users required previous experience in the outdoors and a high level of specialised skills, such as navigation skills. Users need to be self-reliant, particularly in regard to emergency first aid and possible weather hazards.
Before flying, please ensure that you are not carrying any loose objects. This includes camera bags, lens caps, empty film canisters and other objects in unsecured pockets.

Cancellations less than two weeks prior will incur total loss of full payment. We recommend that travel insurance be taken out.
