Joffre Gorge is a stunning natural amphitheatre with a spectacular curved seasonal waterfall.
Views across the gorge can be seen from a lookout platform, and the walk trail into the gorge includes a more challenging section for those who wish to reach the pool downstream from the waterfall.
From the car park, the track descends via a section of rock towards a rough pathway. Trail signage marks the departure point of the pathway for the Joffre Falls view from the walk trail to the base of the gorge. From this point, the trail becomes more a challenging Class 5 trail, requiring walkers to scramble their way down some rock slabs. Once at the base, follow the path to the right towards the pool at the base of the waterfall.
The Joffre Falls walk trail is approximately 1.5 kilometres return.
