Birdwood Downs is a pastoral station of 2500ha located on the Gibb River Road in the West Kimberley.
Since 1978 it has pioneered new ecological methods of improving degraded lands using stock management, weed control and planting. Now the beautiful paddocks with their groves of native trees, spectacular boabs and eucalyptus are a model for sustainable management.
The Kimberley School of Horsemanship offers training for all ages in horse care, horse training and riding. Horse rides are available for all levels of experience.
The station is accessible for 2WD vehicles.

The Savannah Trail Ride is a guided one hour ride through our savannah landscape.
The Champagne Sunset Ride is a late afternoon trip to our special Sunset Boab where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly, climb the Boab and enjoy the Kimberley Sunset. The duration is about one and a half hour. We are happy to make special arrangements with you.
