The Pilbara is the oldest known landscape on Earth, estimated to be more than 2.5 billion years old. There is no better place to witness this than at Karijini National Park.  Karijini has spectacular 100 metre sheer-sided ochre coloured chasms.  Hidden amongst this ruggedness are crystal clear rock pools, cascading waterfalls and tropical fern environments each offering easy walking tracks or viewing platform access. 

Visit the Weano, Joffre and Dales Gorge areas, as well as the renowned Karijini Visitors Interpretative Centre. Tour highlights include swimming opportunities at the spectacular Handrail Pool and Fern Pool, and breathtaking views from Circular Pool, Joffre Falls, Oxer Lookout and the highest lookout in Karijini at Knox Gorge.

Nestled deep in the Hamersley Ranges at the base of the towering Mount Nameless is the town of Tom Price, home to one of the world’s richest Iron Ore deposits mined by Rio Tinto Iron Ore.

Go West Tours conducts one and a half hour comprehensive tours of the mine, which is one of the largest open cut mines in the world. Visit a pit lookout in the mine and view massive machinery at work at the Haul Truck Workshop, travel through the process plant, shovels, drills and train load out area. 

Your guide will give you up to date information and overview of the large scale operation from taking the ore out of the ground, through the crusher and along the conveyors to loading into the massive carts on some of the longest trains in the world.

Tour departs from Tom Price Visitor Centre.
