Travelling in air conditioned comfort, you’ll dive deep into Broome’s cultural past. Discover the abundance of bush foods and medicine plants that have sustained the first people of the Kimberley for millennia. Experience a private didgeridoo performance, get hands on with some traditional Nyul Nyul artefacts and enjoy a cup of Robbie’s deliciously refreshing, home brewed Non-Alcoholic Boab Ginger Beer or Boab Original Ice Tea.
Hear stories of how Broome became the centre of the World’s pearling industry, the illegal practice of blackbirding, the harsh working conditions and social segregation of Broome’s Aboriginal people. Explore forgotten roads and historic landmarks and hear the local stories connected to them.

Journey from Broome to Beagle Bay, in air conditioned comfort. Along the way learn about the natural boundaries that define language groups as you pass through Country. Upon arrival in Nyul Nyul Country, Robert will welcome you in language to his Country and share his family history, their connection to Beagle Bay and their involvement in building the mission.
Visit the Sacred Heart Church, renowned for its beautiful pearl shell encrusted altar. Learn about the Aboriginal shell carvers who created the intricate pearl shell artworks and shell mosaic floor. Explore the old lemonade factory, the surrounding freshwater springs and learn about some of the local bush foods and medicine plants.
Robert Dann is a Nyul Nyul man, his ancestral tribe is from the Beagle Bay region and, as a Traditional Owner of the Winawul Country - the Sandy Point area of Beagle Bay, he is highly regarded and respected in his community.
