Newman Visitor Centre is located in the heart of Newman, adjacent from the shopping centre. Our staff offer visitors knowledge of the area and maps to explore our outback - an outdoor adventure paradise. Within just two hours, you can reach marvellous spots for 4WDing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming and rock climbing. Awe-striking panoramas, natural rock pools, ancient rock formations, and wildflowers - our region brims with unique, diverse, and wildly coloured landscapes.
If you are a fan of sunrises and sunsets, you can catch fantastic views from Radio Hill Lookout, with walking trail access located behind the Newman Visitor Centre.
Aboriginal occupation of this area extends to around 41,000 years, The Nyiyaparli People are the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,000 square kilometers of land and waters in the East Pilbara region, including the township of Newman. Nearby landmarks and places such as Eagle Rock Falls and Kalgans Pool are part of Nyiyaparli traditional country and continue to have ongoing significance to the Nyiyaparli People.
