Meet Robin the Outback Mum
While a blossoming romance with a rugged Australian cowboy became the reason Robin swapped her Texan lifestyle for station life in the Pilbara, she also fell deeply in love with the vast grassy plains and picturesque shady waterholes of Western Australia’s stunning outback.
Intrigued by her Grandparents’ tales of visits ‘Down Under’, an opportunity to head to Western Australia’s Pilbara region led Robin to a working station where she swapped the rolling green hills of her ranch back home for intensely coloured red earth, silver trunked gum trees and unfamiliar birdsong.
Robin’s outback adventure took a romantic turn as a rugged Aussie bloke in an Akubra hat took her flying above the ancient landscape. Without knowing it then, her future lay before her - literally all half a million acres of it.
Cheela Plains Station offers a welcome stop when road tripping between Ningaloo and Karijini, and visitors are invited to stay, camp and explore Robin’s immense backyard.
