Broome Beaches

Broome's location on a peninsula means it has water on both sides and many beaches to explore, each with its own distinct identity.

Cable Beach is the best known, its white sands attracting visitors to relax during the day and to witness spectacular Indian Ocean sunsets. The aquamarine waters of Town Beach are picture perfect, and it's also the perfect place to experience the Staircase to the Moon.

Search for dinosaur footprints in the red rocks of Gantheaume Point, cast a line or launch your boat at Entrance Point and enjoy the lesser known Redell Beach. Australia's newest marine park has its home in the waters of Roebuck Bay and south of Broome towards Port Hedland, you'll find Eighty Mile Beach.

All of Broome's beaches are within a ten minute drive from the town centre. When on holiday in Broome, check the tidal movements for the best time to enjoy the beaches.
