From the Five Rivers Lookout on the top of the Bastion Range at Wyndham, you can see where five mighty Kimberley rivers meet and flow into the ocean.
Enjoy spectacular views of the Ord, Forest, King, Durack and Pentecost Rivers where they combine and enter the Cambridge Gulf, surrounding mangrove swamps & mudflats. This is also a popular sunset spot, and a great vantage point for the escarpments around Wyndham as well as the port area.
The Five Rivers Lookout is also the location for an annual concert “Stars on the Bastion” which takes place in July.
The drive to the Five Rivers Lookout is signposted from town. The road is fully sealed, but at a steep gradient so care is necessary when driving. Shaded picnic tables, BBQ’s and amenities are located at the lookout.
