CABLE BEACH
On the western side of Broome's peninsula, Cable Beach stretches 22km from Gantheaume Point in the south to Willie Creek in the north. Famous for its sunsets and camel rides, Cable Beach is also a great place to base yourself during your stay in Broome, with a number of hotels, restaurants and bars as well as easy access to the rest of Broome.

CHINATOWN
The heritage area around Carnarvon Street, Dampier Terrace, Short Street and Napier Terrace is known as Broome's Chinatown, due to this small area becoming home to the multicultural pearling crews in the 1880's. Today the corrugated tin construction of the mostly single storey buildings hark back to Broome's early days as a hub of the international pearl shell industry.
- Make time for breakfast or lunch at one of the cafes and restaurants, including Short St Cafe.
- Visit Broome Visitor Centre for up to date visitor information, as well as to book tours and experiences.
- Follow the heritage trail around Chinatown to discover the stories of Broome's past - download the free Explore Broome app to guide you. Points of interest will include the world's oldest operating outdoor picture gardens at Sun Pictures and the old pearling jetty.
- Join the daily Pearl Luggers Tour at Willie Creek Pearls on Dampier Terrace to learn more about the evolution of Broome's pearling industry and to enjoy a tasting of pearl meat.
- At Cygnet Bay Pearls see the daily pearl harvest, or take part in a pearl grading class.

TOWN BEACH
A local's favourite, Town Beach offers beautiful views of Broome's Roebuck Bay shoreline, a pretty beach and opportunities to delve into Broome's history.
- This is a great viewing point for Staircase to the Moon, when the full moon rising over the exposed tidal flats create the illusion of a staircase reaching to the sky. Accompanied by night markets for one night each month both locals and visitors congregate at Town Beach to witness this natural marvel. - From June to September, night markets take place each Thursday from 4.30pm. Enjoy a wide range of food from the food vans, as well as art and gift stalls and live music.
- Open daily during the dry season, Broome Historical Museum is well worth a visit. This is a quirky and fascinating museum showcasing Broome's enthralling local history. Close to the jetty, a sculpture called "9 Zeros, 9 Stories" commemorates the WWII strafing of Broome in March 1942. and a cemetery for early settlers and notable figures from Broome's early days can be found. - Join a sightseeing with Broome and Around Bus Charters and Tours for a full Broome tour including fascinating insights on Town Beach, Chinatown and Cable Beach.
- Town Beach is great for families, with a large playground, water playground and safe swimming beach.
- Short St Gallery's historic bungalow showcases a wide range of artistic styles from around Australia.
- During the dry season, food vans are located close to the water playground during the day. Close by you'll also find a restaurant and Italian takeaway, as well as popular places to eat and drink at Papa Fuegos, Matso's Broome Brewery and the Mangrove Hotel.
