A waterfall moment in one of the last true wilderness areas on Earth is a moment in time you’ll remember for life.
Experience the thrill of riding the white waters of the world’s only two Horizontal Falls, or the tranquility of nature’s watery cascades surrounded by dramatic gorges million of years in the making.
The replenishing seasonal rains send waterfalls thundering and cascading throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara, creating inviting plunge pools and enchanting oases of plant and animal life.
While the best time of year to catch the North West's waterfalls is late wet/early dry season, there's usually a refreshing swimming spot to be found, and you'll also find a number of spring-fed falls that flow year round. To visit some of the more remote waterfalls you'll need to visit by cruise ship or scenic flight, many others can be reached by road.
