The Parks and Wildlife Service operate two campgrounds within Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) National Park – Walardi and Kurrajong. Both campgrounds offer basic facilities only, with bore water and bush toilets. There are no showers, and travellers must be completely self-sufficient for their stay.
Both campgrounds may be booked online up to 180 days in advance of your stay; alternatively you may make a booking through the Parks and Wildlife Service Kununurra office during office hours. A park entry fee applies to all vehicles in addition to camping fees.
Walardi Campground
Walardi Campground is approximately 12 kilometres south of the visitor centre, and is the closer of the two campgrounds to Cathedral and Piccaninny gorges and the Domes Walk. Generators are permitted within certain areas of Walardi Campground between 8am and 9pm.
Kurrajong Campground
Kurrajong Campground is located approximately 7 kilometres north of the Visitor Centre, in the direction of the Echidna Chasm, Mini Palms and Homestead Valley trails. Generators are not permitted.
Kurrajong also has a sunset lookout, signposted from the campground.
Sites suitable for freestanding tents & swags, campervans, rooftop & awning tents and caravans & camper trailers.
Dual-axle trailers and caravans are not permitted.
