Media & Film
Australia’s North West Tourism works with travel and trade journalists to promote the region intrastate, interstate and internationally.
The Kimberley and Pilbara regions are the ultimate destinations to experience the extraordinary Australian outback, and home many of Australia’s most iconic natural attractions. These include the spectacular tidal movements at the Horizontal Falls, the remarkable striped domes that are the heritage-listed Bungle Bungle Ranges and the incredible colours of the coastline including Broome’s Cable Beach.
A journey along the Gibb River Road is one of Australia’s last outback adventure drives where you will experience extraordinary landscapes. Highlights of the region’s many national parks include Aboriginal rock art, stunning gorges and waterholes. Experience the region by land, air and sea, with a wide range of touring, cruising and accommodation options from glamping to 5 star accommodation.
The region’s vast, remote beauty can be experienced through a number of guided touring options by land, air or sea, with self-drive options available for the more adventurous traveller.
With a reputation for months on end of sunshine and a landscape rich in rugged ranges, mighty rivers, spectacular waterfalls, unique wildlife and pristine beaches, the Kimberly and Pilbara is the ultimate destination to experience the extraordinary Australian outback – in comfort and luxury.
Regional Tourism Organisations
Western Australia is divided into five tourism regions:
- Australia's North West
- Australia's Golden Outback
- Australia's Coral Coast
- Australia's South West
- Destination Perth
Each of these regions is marketed by a Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO). The activities of RTOs are undertaken with assistance and financial support from the tourism industry and Tourism Western Australia.
Australia’s North West Tourism is responsible for the promotion of the North West as a premier tourism destination in both domestic and international markets with the objective of increasing visitor arrivals on behalf of its members.
