Enjoy the panoramic views while Parks and Wildlife Service rangers take you on a guided journey through Danggu Geikie Gorge where you will learn about the stunning geology, wildlife and cultural significance of this ancient gorge.
2018 sees the launch of our new purpose-built 12m vessel with comfortable shaded seating, a PA system and a centre walkway for wheelchairs. MS Casey Ross is named after an elder of the Danggu muway, or clan; the first Bunuba traditional owner to build a relationship with Parks and Wildlife Service.
This one hour boat tour in the iconic Danggu Geikie Gorge, carved by the mighty Fitzroy River in the Kimberley region, gives a fascinating insight into the gorge’s wildlife and geology. You can see crocodiles, wallabies, and birds such as sea eagles, brolgas and rare purple-crowned fairy-wrens, against the backdrop of contrasting colours of the gorge walls.
This tour operates daily from 1 May to 16 October 2018, running at 8.00am, 9.30am, 2.30pm and 4.00pm.
