Galvans Gorge
Galvans Gorge, Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges Conservation Park, 6728
Galvan’s Gorge is the most accessible gorge along the Gibb, located just 1 kilometre off the road. This is a popular and pretty swimming spot, with a small seasonal waterfall flowing into a horseshoe shaped pool. The trail is relatively flat and easy, following the path of a creek and ending at the waterhole opposite the waterfall.
Galvans Gorge is located 14 kilometres west of the Mt Barnett Roadhouse, approximately 290 kilometres east of Derby.
Galvans Gorge is a good stop off on the journey between Dalmanyi (Bell Gorge) and Mt Barnett Roadhouse (Manning Gorge). Allow an hour or two to explore and relax here.
