Gnoorea Point (40-Mile Beach) & Miaree Pool

Gnoorea Point or 40-Mile Beach offers nature based camping with great fishing from the beach. For off-shore fishing there is also a natural boat ramp. 

The camping area has public toilets for day users and sullage points for campers. There is a 28-day limit for camping, and fees apply between 1 May and 30 September. Please note that no drinking water is available on site. Gnoorea Point is accessed via the Forty Mile Beach Road, off the North-West Coastal Highway.

On your way to Gnoorea Point visit Miaree Pool, approximately 30 kilometres south of Karratha off the North-West Coastal Highway. This is a popular and pretty swimming hole on the Maitland River with shaded picnic tables and a 24-hour rest area. Miaree Pool is also a good fishing spot.
