Facilities at the dam recreation area include barbecues, toilets (including disabled), shade and a lawn area. Water from the Dam supplies the towns of Dampier, Karratha, Roebourne, Wickham and Point Samson, and it has a capacity of 64 billion litres. From Roebourne, follow the sealed Harding River Dam access road, signposted from the town.
