Onslow Fishing
Onslow offers a range of great fishing spots.
In the town, you’ll find good fishing at Sunrise and Sunset Beach with a boat launch facility at Sunrise Beach and fish cleaning facilities at Sunset Beach. Beadon Creek offers fishing from the wharf at the Groyne.
Travel a little further out of town to Four Mile Creek, where shaded picnic and BBQ areas invite you to cook up your catch and relax for a while. At the Ashburton River, bush camping facilities along the banks of the river at Three Mile and Five Mile pools allow you to soak in the beautiful surroundings and spend your time fishing, bushwalking and swimming.
Offshore, there are abundant fishing opportunities around the Mackerel Islands.
